Island hopping tours in El Nido are a popular and must-do activity for visitors to this stunning destination in the Philippines. El Nido is known for its breathtaking limestone karst formations, crystal-clear waters, and diverse marine life. The best way to explore and appreciate the natural beauty of El Nido is by taking boat tours that allow you to hop from one island to another, visiting various beaches, lagoons, and snorkeling spots along the way. These tours typically include stops at different islands and attractions in the Bacuit Bay area.
There are four main island hopping tours in El Nido, usually referred to as Tour A, Tour B, Tour C, and Tour D. Each tour has its own unique set of destinations and highlights:
1. Tour A: This tour often includes stops at Big Lagoon, Small Lagoon, Shimizu Island, Secret Lagoon, and Seven Commando Beach. It's known for its stunning lagoons and pristine beaches.
2. Tour B: Tour B typically includes Snake Island, Pinagbuyutan Island, Cudugnon Cave, Entalula Beach, and Vigan Island. This tour offers excellent snorkeling opportunities and beautiful landscapes.
3. Tour C: On Tour C, you might visit Helicopter Island, Hidden Beach, Matinloc Shrine, Secret Beach, and Star Beach. This tour is known for its picturesque landscapes and hidden gems.
4. Tour D: Tour D often includes Cadlao Lagoon, Pasandigan Beach, Natnat Beach, Paradise Beach, and Bukal Island. It's a bit less crowded than the other tours, offering a more tranquil experience.
Each tour typically lasts a full day, and you'll have the chance to swim, snorkel, sunbathe, and enjoy the incredible natural beauty of El Nido. You can book these tours from various tour operators and agencies in El Nido town. It's advisable to check the current availability and tour itineraries, as they may change over time. Island hopping in El Nido is an unforgettable experience and a great way to explore the area's stunning landscapes and marine life.
The prices for island hopping tours in El Nido in 2023-2024
Can vary depending on several factors, including the type of boat you choose, and whether you're booking a group or private tour. Keep in mind that
prices may have changed since my last knowledge update in September 2021, so it's essential to check with local tour operators for the most up-to-date rates. Here's a general idea of the price range for both group and private island hopping tours:
Group Tours:
1. Standard Group Tours: These are typically the most affordable option. Prices can vary, but as of my last update, you might expect to pay around 1,600 to 1,800 Philippine Pesos (PHP) per person for a standard group tour, which usually includes lunch, lagoon fee and environmental fee. Prices below 1600p usually don't include some of these options, so you'll have to pay extra for them.
2. Deluxe Group Tours: Deluxe tours offer a more comfortable experience, often on larger, more comfortable boats with better amenities. Prices can range from 1,500 to 2,500 PHP per person.
1. Private Small Boat: Private tours are more expensive but provide a more exclusive and flexible experience. Prices for a private small boat tour might start at around 10,000 to 12,000 PHP for a small group of 2 people. The price can increase for larger boats and longer tours and more people.
2. Private Speedboat: For a more luxurious and personalized experience, you can book a private speedboat. Prices for private speedboat tours can range from 20,000 to 25,000 PHP or more, depending on the size of the boat and the duration of the tour.
Please note that prices can vary among different tour operators and may change seasonally. Be sure to inquire about what's included in the price (lunch, entrance fees, etc.) and any additional fees that may apply.
Also, consider that El Nido has introduced environmental and entrance fees for visitors, which may not always be included in the tour prices. These fees go toward the preservation and maintenance of the natural beauty of the area. Make sure to check if these fees are included or if they need to be paid separately.
